Rumi is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, and screen magnification.
The standard we aim for
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA β the benchmark referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and comparable accessibility laws.
What we do
- Semantic HTML landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer) and a single, logical heading order on every page.
- A "skip to content" link so keyboard and screen-reader users can bypass the navigation.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images; purely decorative icons are hidden from assistive technology.
- Visible keyboard-focus indicators on every interactive element.
- Color contrast that meets WCAG AA for text and interactive controls.
- The correct page language declared for English and Korean, so screen readers pronounce content properly.
- Full keyboard operability β every link and button is reachable and usable without a mouse.
Ongoing effort
Accessibility is not a one-time task. We review the site periodically and test new features against these standards. Some content β such as the animated illustration of a chat conversation β is decorative and is presented so that it does not interfere with assistive technologies or convey information that is unavailable elsewhere on the page.
